Dessert Menu

I created this double-sided dessert menu for Bacco Italian and Wine Bar in Abingdon, MD.

When the restaurant was developing new dessert menu items, they realized their menu itself needed a full revamp as well. I feature my own line work illustrations that I created in procreate and wanted to choose new type faces for the Bacco brand that matched their dinner and drink menu better and also aligns with the high-end, classy feel of the restaurant as a whole. I actually worked as a server at this restaurant previously, so I had a deep understanding of the menu and atmosphere already, which greatly helped in making design choices for this menu.

We went with an all black background with white type originally, but after getting a small test-batch printed, we realized the black background faded very quickly as servers cleaned them between customers. So, we went back to a white background with black type to avoid this.
